The bigger, the better: That was definitely the motto of our Young Maritime & Offshore NL event last Friday 😍 With a big group of 54 Young Professionals we first visited the big monopiles from Sif Group at the Maasvlakte, and then took a speedboat to the biggest ship worldwide; the #PioneeringSpirit of Allseas. And as you can see in our re-cap video: the smiles and "Wow's" we saw throughout the day were as big as you can imagine. So yes - the bigger, the better - definitely fitted well 🙃 Thanks Lois Isa Frahm , Mark Huijben, Jan van Zyl, Vera Terlouw, Imme van Es, Jermaine Ramlakhan, and Kalea Holkema for inviting us and letting us be amazed by the sheer size of anything #offshore & #maritime The day felt a little bit like a school-class trip: Together in the bus at 09:30 and back by 19:30, tired and happy. And most of all: a lot of conversations and connections were made! Thank you to those who came around and spent this highlight-day with us ☺ï¸ ➡ï¸ With who did you have a great (first) conversation last Friday? Let us know! (Also thanks to our board members Vera Terlouw Frederique Hoppe and Annika Schewitz for the organisation. And for Sjoerd van Hoof Hanna Roukema for being there too!)

[Body Paragraph 1: Analysis of the market/tech situation]
The article highlights the importance of off-grid power generation and cryptocurrency mining economics, particularly in the context of large-scale offshore operations. The use of the term "bigger, the better" suggests that larger scale operations are more profitable or efficient. This aligns with the increasing demand for renewable energy sources and the growing interest in cryptocurrencies, which require large amounts of computing power.
[Body Paragraph 2: The specific operational implication]
For gas plant operators, this trend could mean increased competition in the market for off-grid power generation services. Larger companies may be able to offer more competitive pricing and superior service, while smaller companies may struggle to compete due to lack of resources or capital. Additionally, larger companies may have access to more advanced technologies and equipment, which could lead to improved efficiency and reduced costs.
