was meeting the hairy pigs at Wild Woodberry in Dorset with
Rob Farrington
!
These affectionate animals were like dogs trapped in pig's bodies!
One was a Mangalitsa-Berkshire cross (Berkshire is a rare British breed) and the other a Mangalitsa (a rare Hungarian breed).
Seeing their rootling in action (using their snouts to dig in the soil) and the space it made for new species to emerge and grow was absolutely fascinating.
One day when I have my own rewilding project, there will definitely be Mangalitsa pigs!
