1、Osaka Gas Co., Ltd. Launches 1.25 GW Himeji Gas Power Plant – 1st Unit Now Commercially Operational
On January 1, Osaka Gas (9532.T), Japan’s second-largest gas utility, announced the commercial operation of Unit 1 at its newly built 1.25 GW gas-fired power plant in Himeji, western Japan. The plant consists of two 622.6 MW combined-cycle gas turbine (CCGT) units, with Unit 2 expected to start commercial operation in May.

2、Elon Musk Confirms xAI Orders Five Doosan Energy 380MW Gas Turbines
Tesla CEO Elon Musk has officially confirmed that his AI startup, xAI, is the mysterious buyer of five 380MW gas turbines from Doosan Energy. This announcement drew industry attention during Doosan Group Chairman Park Jeong-won’s U.S. visit this week.

5、Ansaldo Energia targets 100% hydrogen gas turbines by 2030
The FLEX4H2 research project, led by Italian gas turbine major Ansaldo Energia, has been awarded Europe’s “Best Success Story” at the 2025 Hydrogen Research & Innovation Days. The award, jointly selected by the Clean Hydrogen Partnership and the public, recognizes FLEX4H2 as a leading example of innovation in hydrogen-ready gas turbine technology.
