Still processing what an incredible two-day transformation this has been. 🚜⚙ï¸ Grateful to have been selected for Caterpillar Inc.’s exclusive “Inside the Machines 2026” experience at Chennai which was an opportunity that truly took my learning from theory to reality. As an ECE student, this visit gave me something classrooms alone cannot offer : a front-row seat to how world-class engineering ecosystems function. What fascinated me most was realizing that Caterpillar is far more than a machine company. 📍Day 1 | 26.03.2026 - was an eye-opening experience at Brigade World Trade Center , Perungudi. From understanding Caterpillar’s rich history from Bhuvan Anandakrishnan, it's global impact from Nilesh Shah, and its strong ecosystem including CAT Digital by Nandhini Ravi and Prasanna Govindarajan, CAT IT and PSLD by Chaitanya Johri (CJ), every session widened my perspective. The lab explorations and technical sessions gave us practical insights into engine software validation, system testing workflows, embedded controllers, ECM, CAN communication, diagnostics, and predictive maintenance. 📍Day 2 | 27.03.2026 - was the visit to Thiruvallur factory . The day began with learning about the plant's history and the 4 sub-factories inside the campus. Visiting the RI factory and witnessing the assembly of large mining trucks and off-highway trucks gave me a front-row view of engineering at scale. Seeing these massive machines come to life with such precision made every classroom concept feel real. This experience didn’t just teach me how industries run — it reshaped the way I see engineering itself. It strengthened my interest in embedded systems, industrial automation, and intelligent machine ecosystems, and made me even more certain about the kind of engineer I aspire to become. A heartfelt thank you to Rajith Kumar G, Rameshwar Muralimanohar Ramamurthi, Nandhakumar N, Subadhra Sivakumar, and the PSG College of Technology placement team for making this journey truly insightful, memorable, and inspiring. Looking forward to building on these learnings and taking one step closer to the industry. 🚀 #Caterpillar #InsideTheMachines #Engineering #ECE #IndustryExposure
