Amethis has acquired a majority stake in ADEMAT, a leading Côte d’Ivoire-based provider of integrated power-security solutions, through the full buyout of SPE Capital’s controlling position. Founded in 1983, Ademat delivers an end-to-end suite of services spanning power generation, voltage stabilization, power transformation, procurement, installation, maintenance, technical assistance, consulting, training, and equipment rental. The company serves businesses requiring reliable energy infrastructure across the region. During SPE Capital’s investment period, which began in April 2021, Ademat undertook a transformation that included launching its proprietary brand, expanding its portfolio to gas-powered generators and solar energy solutions, and upgrading operations through ERP systems and digitalised commercial processes. With Amethis as the new majority shareholder, the firm will work with Christophe GIOVACCHINI, CEO of Ademat, and the existing management team to scale operations, expand its regional footprint, and advance the transition toward low-carbon energy solutions. Stéphane Heuzé, Managing Partner at SPE Capital, said he was proud of the journey undertaken alongside Ademat over the past five years, adding that together they repositioned the company, launched new business lines, and built a more resilient platform positioned to capture growth opportunities in West Africa, and that the transaction demonstrates the value creation possible through a hands-on, majority ownership approach. Khady Koné-Dicoh (𝘱𝘪𝘤𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘦𝘥 𝘣𝘦𝘭𝘰𝘸), Senior Partner at Amethis, said the firm was pleased to partner with Christophe and the Ademat team, adding that there are opportunities to scale the company further and that leveraging its local presence and international network will support Ademat’s transition toward low-carbon energy solutions and strengthen its market position in Côte d’Ivoire and across West and Central Africa while enhancing energy resilience in the region. The transaction marks the next phase of Ademat’s development as a regional provider of power infrastructure. #Amethis #Ademat #CôteDIvoire #RenewableEnergy #Investment #Africa #PrivateEquity #SustainableInfrastructure
