We carried out the works from 17/03/2026 to 20/03/2026. The main scope involved changing the "Electrical Alternator" vibrations dampers, and also replacing both the rear and front #crankshaft seals. To do that, we first had to decouple the #Caterpillar_C32_Engine from the Alternator, baring in mind that the Main electrical alternator weighs more than #3500kgs (approximately 3.7 tonnes). It wasn't the easiest of tasks due to the complexity and numerous disassembly and assembly procedures that had to be followed. However, the concepts of team work proved effective yet again, and we were able to successfully complete the works, two (2) days ahead of the planned schedule.
